La Caribbean Tourism Organization present\u00f3 en Belice a los ganadores de los Caribbean Sustainable Tourism Awards 2026, premios que distinguen a proyectos, organizaciones y destinos que impulsan un turismo m\u00e1s sostenible, resiliente y regenerativo en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La ceremonia se realiz\u00f3 durante la Conferencia de Turismo Sostenible STC 2026 en San Pedro, Belice, donde referentes del sector debatieron sobre innovaci\u00f3n, protecci\u00f3n ambiental y desarrollo comunitario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El m\u00e1ximo reconocimiento, el premio a la Excelencia en Turismo Sostenible, fue otorgado a Turneffe Flats, de Belice, por sus pr\u00e1cticas integrales de sostenibilidad, gesti\u00f3n ambiental y compromiso con las comunidades locales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El premio de Turismo Comunitario fue para Guyana Inni Lodge \u2013 Toka Village, de Guyana, por su modelo tur\u00edstico liderado por la comunidad y enfocado en generar beneficios econ\u00f3micos y sociales directos para sus habitantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En tanto, el Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) \u2013 REDI II Programme recibi\u00f3 el premio a la Gesti\u00f3n de Destinos y Resiliencia por su trabajo en fortalecimiento de comunidades tur\u00edsticas y gesti\u00f3n del riesgo ante desastres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Por su parte, el Turks and Caicos Islands National Trust fue distinguido con el premio de Turismo Regenerativo gracias a sus iniciativas de restauraci\u00f3n ambiental, preservaci\u00f3n cultural y participaci\u00f3n comunitaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEste a\u00f1o los ganadores representan lo mejor de la innovaci\u00f3n, la resiliencia y el compromiso con la sostenibilidad en el Caribe\u201d, destac\u00f3 Narendra Ramgulam, Director Adjunto de Turismo Sostenible de la CTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
